We're gonna go to the next state line

"Every generation wants to be the last. Every generation hates the next trend in music they can't understand. We hate to give up those reins of our culture. To find our own music playing in elevators. The ballad for our revolution, turned into background music for a television commercial. To find our generation's clothes and hair suddenly retro."

(Quoted from Palahniuk's Lullaby)

I find this very well-written words of wisdom brilliantly true,

it explains why I've held on for so long now to my latest days as nineteen year-old.
Although not much has left till my birthday I still got one month. You can tell I'm shit scared and had thought of innovative ways to hide my birth date from everybody but that quote certainly helped .. because I'm writing about it. Usually I don't talk stuff I'm afraid to admit to myself.
