It's shocking..

And to think the 90s died before it. Even harder to believe is that the 70s are still alive, though real sick.

@Bliss Yes but that man was part of my childhood, I spent 20 years alive knowing for sure that he was going to come back with another moonwalk.

@Hind It is.

@Frank I think t's called retro. But why exactly is 70's retro so popular? I guess it has to do with the fashion industry.

@Raisa You're confused everywhere lately, hope everything's okay @@

The 70s aren't retro! The 70s are classic!!!

Music has suffered a slow decline since then. Video killed the radio stars.. I hate dancing... I'm not a fan of Michael Jackson.

In my opinion, a classic is something that stands out in a good way. Something that is good no matter the time. I agree that the 70's are "classic". I'm not a fan of Michael either, The news made me sad somehow.

you know, I've never had that thing for either the 70s or 80s, am more of a 90s person, shame it's never remembered.

The 90s are not remembered for a reason. There's merely a handful of bands worth mentioning, every other band ripping them off. There hasn't been as big a musical revolution as there had been in the 50s, 60s, 70s and, sadly, the 80s. The 90s were at first a back to basic movement, started with Seattle's grunge scene, which mixed the no-rule mentality of the 70s' punk scene with the voice-to-the-forefront notion brought about by metal and its precursors. But the music of the 90 mainly borrowed musical concepts created in the 70s. While some bands have their merit, it's easy to find their influence in classic rock, and when sufficiently knowledgeable, you instantly realize that the 90s haven't built upon the past. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, the Who, etc., are still unsurpassed, musically, lyrically and artistically. Dark side of the moon, 30 years later, is still the greatest album ever recorded, a title that may perhaps never be taken away.
